Well, OK, not exactly a Cadillac, but Cadillac powered, and A LOT more than 222 MPH.

For those who haven't heard, we are on the salt today (well - Courtney and Spectre's crew, anyway).

The engine: 528 CID Cadillac stroker, built from production block, crank, and head castings, subjected to a pair of very large turbos and fueled by a FAST injection system through a Hogan's fabricated intake and custom intercooler.

The car: an old streamliner, rebuilt, stretched, and reskinned.

The driver: a veteran of the salt, I've been told this guy has a stack of records under his belt.

Shakedown time - see what comes loose, breaks, fails, shorts out, leaks, etc. Then we have until August to play with the engine, while Performance Fab plays with the rest, to get it ready for the real deal.

Spectre is running a video blog at http://spectreperformance.com/blog/ with a half dozen posts so far today. Cadillac history in the making, almost live.

I'm told there is a documentary being filmed, as well (they even sent a film crew here for the dyno session).

Enjoy  Grin

Art the paint / body work was based on:

Engine on the dyno (without all of the stuff hanging off the front that hides the engine - turbos, intercooler, oil tanks, water tanks, etc):

Damn Chris!!! Shocked That is too awesome!!! Cool

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about this incredible development. Will CadCo be featured in the documentary & will you guys have copies of this video for sale once it is released? Often this type of exposure is better than any advertising you could ever buy. Try to make sure that you are prepared to make the best of it.

That engine looks meaner than a 150lb junkyard pit-bull, that's been fed a steady diet of steroids, coffee grounds & gun powder. Are you able to share more of the build details?

Once again... Thanks. This is very cool! Please keep us informed.

Neat. I'd like to see what they have in the bottom, as far as holding the mains in place.

Very nice! Look forward to the teams progress. Went looking for the record for class, is it an open record?
