I have a friend who makes fiberglass boats for racing from scratch. Would there be any interest in a $1000 mid 70s Eldorado hood ? Possibly with a clearance lift in the center for a high-rise manifold ?

Not a lot of demand for a stock replacement in fiberglass, but if it has clearance for the high rise intakes, there would definitely be a market for that. The trick is adding the extra clearance in such a way that enough people like the styling, to justify the cost of a production mold vs a one-off mold.

That is exactly what I am shooting for. An Eldorado with a high rise. How high is the question. raise the carb mount pad how much ? Angle it differently ?

What about an L88 style hood?

I've always liked the style, just don't know how it will look on that long Cadillac hood.
