I almost hate to post this under Fox Body Swaps because who knows how soon I will start working on it but here it goes.

I found this little blue 1992 Mustang Coupe on Craigslist today, I like the color.  It's a 2.3 four with eight plugs, did not know they did this.  The transmission is in the trunk and I can't tell if it runs or not, starter bolts to transmission.  The interior is dirty but I think will clean up fine.  This one I don't feel bad at all about cutting up.  He wanted $575 but I offered him $400 and he took it fast.

I also has the 1988  Mustang yellow coupe I purchased from Shakedog.  This is a good runner and my daughter boyfriend (17) has been after me to sell it to him for a daily driver.  Will not make any money on this in fact I will probably have to fix everything on it for him.  He just wants a Mustang that get good gas mileage and likes the yellow.

I don't expect this project to go too fast but when I do something I will post it here.

I now have 5 fox bodies around the house.  Getting as bad as the Eldorados.  1982 Orange Mustang Fastback, 1985 White LTD LX, 1987 T-bird Cad-T-Bird 500, 1988 Yellow Mustang Coupe, and 1992 Blue Mustang Coupe.

Power everything too...good score. Those 2.3's can be made to really haul ass...light too. The twin plugs make it much more efficient...

Ted,

Tell maybe future son-in-law that he has to help you stick the trans in so you can start it. You might be able to get all or most of the $400 back if you can sell the engine.

Hey Ted,

That looks like a good score.

How's the paint & body on that blue one?

That's a good looking blue.

I do not see any dents, the bumper covers are all solid, and most of the paint looks good.  For some odd reason the right front fender is faded, maybe it was repainted in the pass.  The yellow one does look better overall but I think the blue one will be okay.  The interior needs a very good cleaning.

He does not know much about cars and keeps on disappearing; seems to like my daughter better.

They took the transmission out at a different location.  They said that it needed a torque converter and was sliping, I wonder about this.  When it got moved they left all the bolts, torque convertor, driveline, starter, and who knows what else behind.  First thing I did was stick a battery in it to see if everything works; all I could find is the right door lock did not work.  So I turned the key to see if it would start and nothing happen.  Felt kind of stupid that there was no starter in it.

I guess I will just try to sell it as an unknown engine.

Damn Ted...scoring some really nice cars! The blu has been a long time favorite. Lubed, oiled, waxed and shoved in a corner, those units will be worth good money down the road.

The Catalytic Converter that was off and laying in trunk went for $85, so now the car is $315.
